This post is a continuation of the Tahiti circle tour which I began in the first post, Tahiti - Circling the Island, Part I, on the Adventures Abroad, French Polynesia Tour that Alison and I took earlier in 2022. In that post, we visited the Papeete market and the most complete marae or temple site in the entire territory. In this post, we'll visit an amazing waterfall, a botanical garden, and the site where the H.M.S. Bounty first landed and enjoy a traditional Tahitian meal. I hope you'll join us.

In his latest blog post, Dale Dunlop, The Maritime Explorer, embarks on a tour of Tahiti - Circling the Island. If you are interested in what Adventures Abroad has to offer, please check out our Small Group Tours.

This is my fourth post from a recent French Polynesia Tour, but the first one where we actually get down to sightseeing with our Adventures Abroad group led by veteran tour leader Martin Charlton. In the last post, I recommended a self-guided walking tour of Papeete as there is plenty to see there that is not included in the tour we are about to embark upon in this post. We will spend most of today on a tour of the island of Tahiti with our local guide Gerald Mingo. Please join us on the bus as we seek out the reasons why Tahiti is one of those destinations that first comes to mind when one thinks of the attractions of the South Pacific.

In the last post from this ongoing series on a Western Turkey Tour with Canadian tour company Adventures Abroad we visited the great theatre of Aspendos and marvelled at the Roman engineering feat of the inverted siphon aqueduct that brought water to that city. In this post, we'll visit Perge, a much larger archaeological site not far from Antalya which was one of the most important cities in Anatolia during the Roman Empire. During our visit to the Antalya Archaeological Museum, we had a chance to view some of the finest examples of statuary produced in Perge during that era. Today we will see where those statues were created and where they stood on public display. Please join us as we visit one of the best-preserved Roman cities anywhere.
